Asanatou
In the work Asanatou, published in the zine published by Magazine of color I explore intergenerational ruptures and the intention to repair them within one’s inner landscape, restoring connection and continuity.
Inspired by my own family history—particularly the stories of my grandmother Asanatu—I seek to center the experiences of transgenerational resilience.
Eyes and hands serve as metaphors for (re)establishing contact. They symbolize the bridging of distance, the possibility of touch, and the offering of support.
